Me in a nutshell
Hi friends,
Here's a little bit about me.
I'm a wild at heart, ocean lover and tea drinker. Originally I'm from the north of Germany, growing up within the Danish ethnic minority in Southern Schleswig. If you wonder where that is - right where the vikings used to live way back in time. I've studied for a few semesters in Denmark, got a master's degree in international business communication, then packed my bags to move to London to work as a social media marketer. Before long I fell in love and so I packed my belongings again and moved to Switzerland to be with my partner. Well, luckily I've been here ever since.
I'm a happy, social introvert. I believe kindness is everything and I love people who smile in the rain. Actually, dancing in the rain is one of my favorite pastimes. I'm open-minded and I love to travel. My heart skips a beat when visiting new countries, learning about other cultures or when day dreaming about all the places I haven't yet had the pleasure to visit.
Moving on to the important facts: For as long as I remember, I've been absolutely in love with photography. I love to capture a fleeting moment and make it timeless. I strive to capture natural, magical moments - the ones you have, when you think no one is actually watching - so yeah, I'm also a ninja. I like to blend in but I'm also without a doubt present to capture every precious moment in which you later can immerse over and over again.
When I first started with photography, I used to capture every moment. My finger was literally glued to the shutter release button. Now I shoot with purpose and intent. I realized to tell a story, I need to slow down and to actually become a part of the moment. I stop and evaluate my surroundings and I always familiarize myself with the shooting location. My favorite photos always include emotional elements, so naturally this is what I aim for when composing images. My approach is to capture candid and spontaneous moments. As to the tonality of my pictures, my style is to edit them in a moody way. I value richness and contrast of tones.
